New Team Australia
Hello
I have taken over the leadership of Team Australia over Backlash. Many of you may think this is the wrong decision simply because you don't like me, others may think it's a good thing considering Australian BW is basically dead. In the end Backlash wasn't active enough to run the team and as usual nation wars stopped coming and everything died away.

I have taken over because my motivation is at a high because of my clan X- which I made to make Australian BW more competitive within a clan. That has been very successful so I thought my next step is to try revive any nation standard Australians we have out there. I have started with completely structuring a new roster to get rid of the old inactives who just come on for the nation war or a few games to the more active members which play basically everyday. The roster is a lot smaller and let me introduce you to it.

X-SurfaCe
I am the new Team Aus leader and also a player. Many of you know I am capable enough to play for Australia as I have proven good results in the past.

NaW-Bman
Bman will always be a trusted member of the nation team whoever leads it I believe so he will obviously continue being there.

tKo.SeMu
Aka: Xiang always been a reliable skilled player and still active on most of the week, he still deserves to be apart of Team Australia.

Lo)Fragma(ve
Fragma also being very reliable and a skilled player will also continue being on the roster. His skills are great and will keep being a great member.

KJH[ReD]
Kang, one of the better players in Australia at the moment previously in Team Australia will continue on the roster.

gmr[jOin]
Aka: Gucman, has always been an awesome zerg and has only really been seen the last 1 - 2 years. He will continue being on the roster.

X-Cloner
Aka: Fury, He was previously on the roster and removed for inactivity but Fury is active again and a great addition to the team.

X-DKNY
A new addition to Team Australia. Not very known to the community but Kevin aka: DanCe]i[ is a great zerg player with good off races as well. He does well and I think he will be a great addition to the team and expect him to do well.

X-1811
Aka: Blind, once again a new addition to Team Australia. Previously been in the Aus B team, he is active again and maybe not quite up to the level but I am willing to give him a shot and see how he does.

50CaL.Knight
Aka: Gazza, A very solid 2v2 player and a passionate team gamer. He doesn't like his 1v1 but being a great 2v2 player he will remain on the Team Aus roster.

X-TeK
Aka: X-FiLeS, Brendan has been around a long time and has never really gotten to the top level. His 1v1 will never quite get there I don't think but lately he has proven to me he is a solid 2v2 player so I am willing to give him a shot and see how he does. He will represent Team Aus in 2v2 only.

There you have it, The new Team Australia Roster. If you are an old member and have been removed but believe you are still active please contact me and I will re add you to the roster. I have only removed members because I believe they are inactive. If i am wrong correct me.

I hope this is a good step to finish BW Australia with some more nation wars. I will also try once again remake Australian KOTH and maybe make a tournament sometime soon for Australian's to participate in if they want to play some competitive gaming again.

Thx
Endi

Nation War - Australia VS Slovakia
Hey guys,

Been awhile since a war i apologise for that. But anyhow managed to get us a war against Slovakia yesterday night.

The time approaching the war wasn't very promising. With the usual players turning up to previous wars informing me they could not make it. The lack of posts in the forum also worried me but I was quietly confident we'd easily have a line-up come war time.

As it approached 11pm Bman and I were trying to scrap up a team with dancers being the only one confirming his position in the line-up beforehand. By 11pm we managed to get our hands on KJH, fragma, hiatus and limp. The games started.
Here are the results:

Lo)Fragma(ve
>
w3c]LordJurko
2-0

dAncerS_au
>
EaC-MaXPoWeR
2-0

KJH[B.C]
>
NeS)Sid
2-1

KIS)limp
>
bio.muflon
2-1

Lo)Fragma(ve + aus.hiatus
>
w3c]LordJurko
+ NeS)Sid
2-0

Congratulations to us on a 5-0 win. From the gg.net gosubets we were 34% to win so we proved them wrong. Some things that happened in the war; KJH's last match was a forfeit as the player was "tired" and L!MP didn't know Python had expos in the corner and played the first game for about 1 hour and lost to come back 2-1.

Will be looking for a new war soon. Just to let you know it might be on a saturday... if anyone would make it?

Nation War - Australia VS Germany !!!
Last night Australia vsed Germany in a nationwar. Of course Germany home of many famous players like Mondragon were favorites coming into this war with a 88% bet on gosugamers for them to take us down. Regardless of this the team was ready for the challenge and hopefully to pull a win. Here are the results:

Esc-Xephon
<
ToT)mondragon(
0-2

dAncerS_au
<
mYm.DarkGamer
0-2

aus.hiatus
>
faculty.Zzang
2-1

Esc-sMbk
>
faculty.Zarrr
2-1

PandaSaurus
<
faculty.colle
0-2

PandaSaurus + aus.hiatus
<
faculty.Zarrr + faculty.Jogy
0-2

Unfortunately we lost the war 2-4 with aus.hiatus and Esc-sMbk doing well both winning their matches. They got us from 0-2 to 2-2 and for awhile i thought we might manage to win.

GJ all who participated and its also nice to see some old faces like dancers and xephon coming and hopefully this motivates you guys to play some more .

gl hf and the next nw will be announced asap.

Australian National Team Revival.
copy and pasted from Backlash...

Hello all!

I am writing to announce that I have just now been given powers on wgtour to manage our national team. As we all know the national team has been quite inactive and only Bman's Aus B team has showed any activity in the past few months.

I am taking up this position as i am tired of seeing the Aus members thriving with activity with hiatus and xiang doing very well on iccup and yet there are no nation wars scheduled. That being said with me taking this position i hope this gives all of you who are currently in the team insentive to start playing again as i will be choosing only the top notch players who make it to the wars in the lineups.

My first move has been to remove/add players from the wgtour team due to inactivity/retired for removals and new blood/promising players for adding.

Removed:

G.t_Lock.NA
InsertName[B.C]
Legionnaire
Outcast_au
Starhunter[CF]
starrbren
X-SurfaCe
xLo.Gabriel

Added:

ExistenT (was in Aus B )
NaW-Bman (helping me manage as he is sexy)
Naw-LogiC
sMi.tRuK
RageOfProtoss

Also lets welcome:

sMi.tRuK
truk's activity and skill has awarded him a chance which in my opinion has been well overdue and i am sure he will prove himself worthy of this position.

NaW-Logic
Although i know very little of this fellow bman has given me him as a recommendation to b enlisted into the team. He is Sensai's 2v2 partner from NaW and hopefully will contribute to the team.

RageOfProtoss
Many of you know this is GaZZa and he has shown great results in iCCup 2v2 rankings. We should probably work on finding gaz a partner for 2v2's as having 2 2v2 teams or more will come in handy.

Ok done with all the hello's and byes here is our official line-up as of now:

aus.hiatus
dAncerS_au
Esc-Backlash
Esc-sMbk
ExistenT
KIS)limp
KJH[B.C]
Lo)Fragma(ve
NaW-Bman
NaW-Logic
NaW-SenSei
NoHpEx
RageOfProtoss
sMi.tRuK
tKo.SeMu
yAmyAm[B.C]

limp has been left in the line-up as he is seen on occasionally and in my opinion still has what it takes to beat all other Aus A members.

Yes and i know all of you are looking at Xephon being left in the squad as a biased decision on my part but he is active playing only when msged on msn and although rusty if he was to active up a little more i would b glad to take full responsibility of his position in the team. I will b discussing with him whether or not he will stop wow and focus on bw again asap and he will be removed if he does not choose to play bw as his main game.

Anyway phew that was a long post but i guess we haven't had much news in awhile... lets all be honest we all know iori was a great player but we don't want to see his face all the time when jumping on the site ;p

FINALLY please post all comments in the forum in the thread i have just created.

GL HF ALL AND LETS GET THIS SHOW ON THE ROAD! WILL B ORGANISING WARS ASAP

Where's Iori ?
It was brought to our attention recently on our forums by Flatboy that one of the greats of Australian Starcraft has gone missing unnoticed.

This could be the last Starcraft photo ever took of Iori, taken at the 2004 Australian WCG Finals. Iori can be remembered for representing Australia in the World Cyber Games finals in Korea in 2001.

If you have any news or details on his whereabouts please feel free to post any information in the forums.
