Just thought i would post an ICCup Australia Rankings Update for the site.. I've had a look at the rankings, and Aus is doing not too bad at all. ICCup has fixed the issue with the koreans appearing as Australians, so 90% of the players listed should in fact be Australian. Lets see if anyone can pick up on who is who?

1v1 Rankings
From the 1v1 rankings, OJot seems to be dominating, no idea who he is, probably a korean living in Australia? Some other notables are former Team Aus members Fragma and Semu or aka XianG. No idea who the other players are as ive been out of the scene for too long.



2v2 Rankings
Just some notables from the 2v2 standings from the entire ICCup, we have 2bk and DKNY appearing in the top 20 which is a pretty big accomplishment.

Tho all games wont be needed to be played on the same day. Those who get matched up must play their games sooner rather then later.
I know its abit of late change but i just remembered that iccup introduced this only last week

Allows for greater depth of players to test out their skills and to properly claim the rightful king to his throne =]

Hey Guys, Im back after 4-5years off the starcraft scene and would just like to say its good to be back ! Ill be posting news from around the global brood war scene and the local aus scene. Will try to revamp and provide my insight and insight of others so if u have any queries or suggestions feel free to pm me on this site!

First thing ill like to bring back is KOTH (King of the Hill) - However will not be using old form, so fresh start, Check the forum and caste your vote on who you would like to see play the first game to decide the King.. sure i could make a tourney but no ! this is not a democracy welcome to my dictatorship !

Since about 2003 I've been the kind generous soul who has footed the bill for this website. Despite not actually visiting it or even having starcraft installed for a long time I have been happy to pay the bill so you guys have somewhere to meet and chat.

I don't know what will happen when sc2 appears on the scene, if there will be an upsurge in play or whatever. In fact I don't even know how much use the site gets now. I've been doing some cleaning up of a bunch of old domains that I have lying around as they are costing me money to keep and many of them aren't in use.

The front page doesn't get much use, I can see that, and from a casual glance it appears that the only part of the site that really gets used is the shoutbox. If I'm wrong please let me know.

I guess the bottom line is, in these financially trying times everyone is looking to cut back where they can so if this site isn't being used I will look at taking it down. Discuss it amongst yourselves and let me know. You can email me at ben@benz0r.org (my MSN is the same address).

If you do want to keep the site for the community that's fine by me, I'm just trying to gauge how much of a community there is. I'm not all that keen on paying $120 a year so 3 people can have a chat in a shoutbox, nomsain.

I have taken over the leadership of Team Australia over Backlash. Many of you may think this is the wrong decision simply because you don't like me, others may think it's a good thing considering Australian BW is basically dead. In the end Backlash wasn't active enough to run the team and as usual nation wars stopped coming and everything died away.

I have taken over because my motivation is at a high because of my clan X- which I made to make Australian BW more competitive within a clan. That has been very successful so I thought my next step is to try revive any nation standard Australians we have out there. I have started with completely structuring a new roster to get rid of the old inactives who just come on for the nation war or a few games to the more active members which play basically everyday. The roster is a lot smaller and let me introduce you to it.

X-SurfaCe
I am the new Team Aus leader and also a player. Many of you know I am capable enough to play for Australia as I have proven good results in the past.

NaW-Bman
Bman will always be a trusted member of the nation team whoever leads it I believe so he will obviously continue being there.

tKo.SeMu
Aka: Xiang always been a reliable skilled player and still active on most of the week, he still deserves to be apart of Team Australia.

Lo)Fragma(ve
Fragma also being very reliable and a skilled player will also continue being on the roster. His skills are great and will keep being a great member.

KJH[ReD]
Kang, one of the better players in Australia at the moment previously in Team Australia will continue on the roster.

Aka: Gucman, has always been an awesome zerg and has only really been seen the last 1 - 2 years. He will continue being on the roster.

X-Cloner
Aka: Fury, He was previously on the roster and removed for inactivity but Fury is active again and a great addition to the team.

X-DKNY
A new addition to Team Australia. Not very known to the community but Kevin aka: DanCe]i[ is a great zerg player with good off races as well. He does well and I think he will be a great addition to the team and expect him to do well.

X-1811
Aka: Blind, once again a new addition to Team Australia. Previously been in the Aus B team, he is active again and maybe not quite up to the level but I am willing to give him a shot and see how he does.

50CaL.Knight
Aka: Gazza, A very solid 2v2 player and a passionate team gamer. He doesn't like his 1v1 but being a great 2v2 player he will remain on the Team Aus roster.

X-TeK
Aka: X-FiLeS, Brendan has been around a long time and has never really gotten to the top level. His 1v1 will never quite get there I don't think but lately he has proven to me he is a solid 2v2 player so I am willing to give him a shot and see how he does. He will represent Team Aus in 2v2 only.

There you have it, The new Team Australia Roster. If you are an old member and have been removed but believe you are still active please contact me and I will re add you to the roster. I have only removed members because I believe they are inactive. If i am wrong correct me.

I hope this is a good step to finish BW Australia with some more nation wars. I will also try once again remake Australian KOTH and maybe make a tournament sometime soon for Australian's to participate in if they want to play some competitive gaming again.

Been awhile since a war i apologise for that. But anyhow managed to get us a war against Slovakia yesterday night.

The time approaching the war wasn't very promising. With the usual players turning up to previous wars informing me they could not make it. The lack of posts in the forum also worried me but I was quietly confident we'd easily have a line-up come war time.

As it approached 11pm Bman and I were trying to scrap up a team with dancers being the only one confirming his position in the line-up beforehand. By 11pm we managed to get our hands on KJH, fragma, hiatus and limp. The games started.

Congratulations to us on a 5-0 win. From the gg.net gosubets we were 34% to win so we proved them wrong. Some things that happened in the war; KJH's last match was a forfeit as the player was "tired" and L!MP didn't know Python had expos in the corner and played the first game for about 1 hour and lost to come back 2-1.

Will be looking for a new war soon. Just to let you know it might be on a saturday... if anyone would make it?
